Specialising in making you look younger

Eyelid Enhancement

Look alive and vibrant. Eye lid surgery, known as blepharoplasty, can help restore a more energetic and youthful appearance. Dr. Raspaldo is trained in making patients more symmetric, natural and concealing the signs of surgery. His approach is to remove an exacting amount of skin and fat from upper and lower lids to recreate youthful eyes without looking hollow.

What does it do?

Treatment can be carried out on your upper and lower eyelids, separately or at the same time to help give you a more rested and youthful appearance. Your eyes and your whole face will look more alert, awake and alive. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty involves creating a smooth contour from the lower eyelid to the cheek.

Treatment

For surgery on the upper eyelids, cuts are made into the natural lines and creases in your eyelids, and in the wrinkles at the corners of your eyes. For surgery on the lower eyelids, cuts are made just below your eyelashes and then out into your 'laughter lines' at the corner of your eyes. This means your scars will run along the natural folds of your eyes, which hides them.

How long does the procedure take?

The operation takes between one and three hours, depending on the exact procedure and which eyelids are being done.

After Treatment

Upper eyelid takes 2-4 weeks to heal and upper and lower is 4 weeks. The full effect will be more defined over this time as swelling and bruising subsides. There is only a very thin scar and this is hidden in the eyelash line or the natual contour recess of your eyelid.

How long does it last?

This procedure lasts forever, but to maintain brilliant results it is important to continue with botox injections on crows feet to reduce muscle contractions and hyaluronic acid to restore volume.

Other facts

Best results are achieved with people who have a well-defined bone structure, and Dr Raspaldo can also augment the cheeks under the eyes by injecting Voluma® and enhancing the overall effect.

Post op Cryotherapy (or Cold Therapy) can also be used which promotes healing by 50% faster than normal.
