Specialising in making you look younger

Neck and Face Lift.

A face lift is a more younger position of the fat and skin on the face. The procedures have been greatly refined since the early days of this type of surgery, and results can look very natural.

What does it do?

Dr Raspaldo works on volumising and repositioning facial fat and skin rather than tightening. The overall effect is horizontal not oblique with tightened muscles and a fuller, more natural outcome.

A neck lift can re-sculpture a softening jaw line and remove jowls and 'wattles' (fleshy bands on the neck).

Treatment

A face and neck lift is performed under general anaesthetic which means that you will be asleep throughout the procedure and will feel no pain. An overnight stay in hospital is required. The face and neck lift procedure involves retracting and tightening the skin to achieve a smoother and more defined contour to your face, jaw line and your neck.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure can take 2-5 hours. Before you leave, your cosmetic nurse will advise you about your healing time and will arrange a follow-up appointment for you. This is usually about 2 weeks after your face lift procedure.

After Treatment

After about a week you'll start to get an idea of how you will look once fully healed. The full effect will be more defined, and emerges gradually as swelling and bruising subside. There will be small scars which fade in time and are hidden in the hairline.

Post op Cryotherapy (or Cold Therapy) is used which promotes healing by decreasing cellular metabolism, and increasing cellular survival. This makes healing 50% faster than normal.

How long does it last?

How long the results last depends on your age, but usually from 6-10 years. Combined with further ongoing treatments of botox and volumising fillers it will last much longer.

Other facts

Best results are achieved with people who have a well-defined bone structure, and loose skin on their faces which is reasonably elastic.

Changing the architechutre of the depth of the skin and maintaining surface texture with dermatalogical treatments such as checmical peel, IPL, Laser Resurfacing and carbon dioxide (CO2) laser therapy.
