How it works
The nose can be considered the dominant feature of one's face and there are many individuals looking to make changes to their nose in order to affect their overall look. Treatment
Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, reshape the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip.
The patient is usually sedated but not under deep general anesthetic.
How long does it take to do?
The procedure usually takes an hour or two, no incubation period is needed and it is not painful. It only takes 1 day in the hospital.
After Treatment
Over 80% of Dr Raspaldo's patients see the initial swelling go away within one day. The doctor meets with the patient several times after the surgery to ensure the nose is recovering and healing properly. As there is no large mesh or heavy bandaging there is no big swelling and healing is quick and not painful.
Post op Cryotherapy (or Cold Therapy) can also be used which promotes healing by 50% faster than normal.
How long does it last?
This is a permanent procedure and results last a lifetime. The nose is a key feature of the face and even in later life (50, 60 or 70 years old) the nose never goes down again.
If using the injectable filler method described on the right, repeat sessions are recommended each year or so.
